La Pine is the southern end of Deschutes County, about thirty-five minutes down Highway 97 from Bend. It is more rural than the rest of the county, more affordable, and home to a working economy of trades, contractors, light industrial operations, equipment and automotive businesses, and the retail and services that support a spread-out community.

How we make the distance work

We batch La Pine work into planned visits and lean on remote management for everything that does not need hands on hardware — which, if the system was specified properly, is most of it.
