Security Camera Installation

We design, install and support commercial security camera systems for businesses across Central Oregon. Not a box of cameras dropped off with a login — a system planned around your building, installed properly, and supported by the people who put it in.

What we install

We work with three cloud-managed platforms, chosen depending on what the site actually needs:

• Rhombus — we are an authorized reseller. Strong AI detection, simple licensing, and a clean web and mobile interface that non-technical staff will actually use.
• Avigilon — where image quality and analytics matter most, particularly larger sites and demanding low-light conditions.
• Cisco Meraki MV — the sensible choice when you are already running Meraki networking, because cameras and network live in one dashboard.

If you already have cameras from another manufacturer, we will tell you honestly whether they are worth keeping. Replacing a working system that meets your needs is not something we push.

Cloud-managed or a recorder in a closet?

The traditional approach puts an NVR in a back room recording to local disks. It works, and it is cheaper up front. It also fails silently — the box stops recording, nobody notices, and you find out the week you actually need footage.

Cloud-managed cameras store footage at the edge and in the cloud, tell you when a camera goes offline, and let you pull clips from your phone without a VPN. They cost more per camera per year. For most businesses the trade is worth it; for some it genuinely is not, and we will say so.

What actually determines whether a system works

• Placement and field of view. More cameras pointed badly is worse than fewer cameras pointed well. Entry points, transaction points, and choke points first.
• Lighting. Most useless footage is a lighting problem, not a camera problem. Backlit doorways turn people into silhouettes regardless of resolution.
• Retention. How far back you can look matters enormously the day something happens. Thirty days is a common minimum; some insurers and industries require more.
• Bandwidth. Cloud cameras upload continuously. On a rural connection that has to be planned for, not discovered later.
• Licensing. Cloud platforms carry per-camera annual costs. We put the multi-year number in front of you before you buy, not after.

Cameras and door access, together

Cameras tell you what happened. Access control tells you who opened the door and when. Installed together, a badge event and the video of that moment are one record instead of two systems you cross-reference by timestamp. Most of our camera work ends up including doors for exactly that reason.
