Crook County · About 40 minutes out from Bend.
Prineville sits about forty minutes east of Bend, and it is the most interesting technology town in Central Oregon that almost nobody outside the region thinks of that way. A former mill town of roughly eleven thousand people now hosts major data center campuses operated by Meta and Apple — a concentration of computing infrastructure that would be notable in a city ten times its size.
That has two consequences for local businesses. The first is that Prineville has better connectivity and power infrastructure than a town its size would normally get. The second is that the local labor market for technical work is tight, because the campuses hire. If you run a business in Prineville, you are competing for technical attention with some of the largest companies on earth.
We are not trying to service the data centers — they have that covered. We work with the businesses around them: ranching and agricultural operations, contractors, retail and services along Third Street, Crook County offices, the light industrial operations that grew alongside the campuses, and the professional firms serving all of the above.
Forty minutes is far enough that most Bend IT companies quietly treat Prineville as remote-support-only. We do not. If the problem needs hands on hardware, we drive. Scheduled maintenance visits and planned project work make that predictable for both of us.
